Madness in the Hill
I had the pleasure of co-producing Sports Xtra’s second annual Madness in the Hill— a march madness special covering teams across the nation.
This was a tough one. The night before, we spent nearly 12 hours in the studio ironing out every last detail. My host, Ashley Humphrey, and on-air talent, Caroline Routh and Spencer Haskell, most definitely put in the extra hours to make sure they were ready to deliver.
Just two hours before we went live, one of our on-air members called in sick, so I had to step out of the booth and jump in to cover their segment.
Despite the chaos in the studio, this ended up being my favorite show I’ve produced. I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.
